This gives the town a youthful feel. It is also only 20 minutes by bus or train to to the capital city of San José. You will have easy access to the museums and sites the Costa Rican capital has to offer. Living and studying abroad in Heredia allows you to be in a smaller, more charming town but centrally located to have easy access to all that Costa Rica has to offer. The surrounding area is green and mountainous with coffee plantations and small farms scattered throughout. Heredia rests on the slopes of Poás Volcano, one of Costa Rica's most famous national parks. You will love studying abroad here!
