Head of HR

Job Description

Then get in touch, as we are looking for a Head of HR, and that person could be you.

What is expected of you?

Define and implement the overall HR strategy & ensure that policies and controls are in place;
Drive the company to proactively anticipate, plan and meet staffing needs as they arise;
Advocate and build awareness within the company of the strategic importance of HR management;
Support the COO, the Executive Committee and the Board by providing HR advice, flag important issues proactively to the decision-making bodies and provide relevant input for their decisions;
Design strategies to recruit, nurture and retain talent;
Manage the performance management system to contribute towards building a high performing organisation;
Ensure a well-designed and clearly articulated succession plan;
Design and implement the human resources development plan in close liaison with Heads of all departments and line managers to ensure a trained and committed workforce;
Design, develop, implement and manage short to medium-term development programmes for employees;
Provide advice to the COO on conditions of employment and negotiate terms and conditions
Ensure effective cooperation with other business areas and continually monitoring the impact of HR work;
Oversee the reward management system and employee benefits programme;
Handle staff grievances and disciplinary procedures;
Oversee the Training Strategy to ensure adequate return on investment and value in training initiatives undertaken;
Administrate and monitor of the Self Development Scheme and the Career Progress Plan;
Act as Ethics Officer and ensure that employees are familiar and in compliance with its Ethics Framework;
Represent the company during meetings of the HR Networking Groups
Keep abreast of HR Regulation;
Handle responsibilities for budgeting in relation to this function.

Requirements

What are you expected to bring?



A solid background in Human Resources and Development at a senior management level.
Significant experience managing teams and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study.
A minimum of eight (8) years working in a similar senior role.
An in depth understanding of employee/industrial relations legislation, procedures and practices
