Teach English - Professional Placement in Hyderabad, Indi

This placement is not your average children in an average classroom. It is also not your average Teaching English volunteer experience. You will be challenging yourself as a teacher, a volunteer and as an individual.
Our partner organisation has set up a "Bridge School" to ensure that homeless street children can also have access to an education. As an English Teacher, you will support these kids to reach a level of English that is standard for their age group, so that they can eventually be integrated into mainstream schools. You will facilitate the children's learning with the help of streamlined milestones, using and adapting lesson plans and teaching methods, which are supported by the government of India. The school will support you in your journey, and also provide timetables and opportunities to get involved in outside activities. You will also be responsible to connect with parents, visiting them regularly and updating them on the progress of their children.

This placement is a remarkable opportunity for personal and professional growth. You will interact with, and immerse yourself into, the world of children who have grown up in a completely different environment, often experiencing hardship. You will be challenged on a daily basis, adapting and refining your teaching style continuously. But overcoming the challenges and reaching milestones will be even more rewarding.
