Israel - Desert Wildlife Program

Program Description

Volunteers will have an array of tasks each day some of which include preparing food for the animals, maintaining the facilities, and assisting park rangers with their regular tasks. The different pens for the animals include an area for herbivores to roam on similar terrain to their natural habitat, the Predators Center, and the Desert Night Life Exhibition Hall where volunteers can observe nocturnal animals during their active hours. This project aims to protect the endangered desert animal populations, preserve the native wildlife, and educate the local communities about the desert and wildlife. The program is situated on a large piece of land where a variety of animals live.
