Dolphin Conservation in Croatia

Program Description

Volunteer with our program and help protect Bottlenose Dolphins. You will assist marine biologists in the north-eastern Adriatic Sea. This involves monitoring dolphin populations and collecting data that aids research teams. Mornings are spent going over collecting data and identifying dolphins while the afternoons will be spent at sea.

Humans are impacting the lives and health of Bottlenose Dolphins. This is a vulnerable subpopulation of the species in the Mediterranean and it is important to study their population. There may have even been a fifty percent decline in population over the last 50 years.
