Spanish and Healthcare in Latin America

Cost Rica is a great place for those seeking for adventure as well as looking for an opportunity to explore health care in a developing country. This program is also dedicated to help you with improving your Spanish language skills. The six-week program with ICDS provides a unique environment to get hands on work experience and will also allow students and healthcare experts to interact with patients and their relatives. You will also be engaged in a daily work with other colleagues in a Spanish speaking environment.

Our program course is devised into two main parts, the professional language vocabulary in the healthcare industry and the overall Spanish language improvement and communication. In addition to the Spanish and topical course, students will have the opportunity to participate on Clinical Rotations or Community Work, this based on their Spanish profeciency.

The main idea of this course is to prepare students to have a good command of Spanish language to be able to talk with the patients and work with their documents, fill in medical reports as well as prescribe different medicine.
