Program Description
CIMBA is a dynamic, personal, and cross-cultural study abroad experience, back by a top-ranked AACSB-accredited American university. Course work emphasizes business and business-related classes, but also incorporates classes in communications, journalism, and engineering fundamentals (summer only).
Semester programs last 12 weeks total and students must take 12-18 credit hours (4-5 classes). Semester students will also be encouraged to partake in CIMBA's unique Leadership Institute, focusing on teambuilding, mindfulness, and personal and professional development. Students will also have the opportunity to earn a decision-making and problem solving certificate from Kepner-Tregoe, a globally recognized management system. Students will also take part in several cultural exploration programs and will have the opportunity to volunteer in the community, tour international-renowned Italian companies, eat dinner with an Italian family, and travel the rest of Italy and Europe. The semester program offers students 25+ days of independent travel and many students take these opportunities to explore Venice, Rome, Paris, Prague, Berlin, Barcelona, and other famous cities.
Summer programs run 4 weeks - mid-May to mid-June, and students take a course load of 6 credit hours (2 classes). This time frame offers students plenty of time to travel after they complete the program or to return home for summer jobs and internships. Like the semester programs, students are offered ample time to explore Europe during extended travel weekends and also participate in similar cultural exploration programs, such as dinner with a professor and gourment Italian dinners.
CIMBA emphasizes small and personal classes with accessible staff to assist in any and all study abroad needs. With a full staff in the U.S. and on-campus in Italy, they will guide you through the pre-departure, study abroad, and returning home procedures and questions. For those who want to explore Europe and live in an authentic, quaint Italian village, Paderno del Grappa is ideally situated as a gateway to Italy and the rest of Europe.
