The Arab-American Language Institute in Morocco

The Arab-American Language Institute in Morocco (AALIM) has partnered with the National Council to introduce a summer language program located in Morocco. Students of all Arabic language levels are welcome to apply. Six weeks will be spent learning intensive Arabic while living in Meknes.

Students will be responsible for assignments outside of 4 hour courses conducted during the weekdays. These are Modern Standard Arabic classes that boast an immersive program with Arabic learners that are hosted in the AALIM center. There is the possibility of 3 hours of dialect classes in Moroccan darija.

Students who are a part of this program will also be able to participate in demonstrations, workshops, and daily excursions. This is an ideal location for students to learn Arabic while exploring the local culture. Experience both the traditional old part of the city called Medina and the dynamic area of New City also called Ville Nouvelle.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States, and must be in good academic standing. Applications may be found on the website of the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations.
