Job Descriptions:
Key responsibilities -
• Monitoring, installation, configuration, management and maintenance of the UNIX Solaris Systems, to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
• Ensuring that the systems are maintained and managed in line with best practice,
• Incident Management: Resolve most technical incidents independently.
• Implementing changes to the systems, building new systems and environments,
• Monitoring system hardware to ensure timely escalation and resolution of any faults, incl. file servers, license servers,
• Maintain backup and archiving hardware, incl. backup servers, archiving servers
• Maintain backup and archiving software and strategy, incl. on-site, off-site, cloud Maintain connectivity between global sites and cloud services
• Maintain AWS cloud services
• Maintain and enhance systems documentation
• Support designing and implementing general systems enhancements, long-term hardware and software strategy

Key Skills –
• 3-5 years experience as a Systems Administrator on Linux/Unix,Solaris and Windows
• Knowledge and practical experience working with Virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere, KVM.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Oracle Cloud
• knowledge of IIS and web technologies
• Sound knowledge of Apache, JBOSS, Glassfish, and shell scripting (bash, python, perl, or ksh).
• Strong background in network administration (such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, OpenVPN)
• Good Understanding of Information Security concepts
• Experience with firewall systems
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and reporting skills;
• Comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced, quickly changing environment

Desired skills
• Background in the Telecom or IT industry
• Experience maintaining Amazon Web Services
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• An understanding or exposure to Puppet/Chef, Source control software (e.g. Subversion, Git), Glassfish/Tomcat/JBoss and Opsview/Nagios

Education
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience

Requirements
