Senior Technical Procurement Executive

Have you got what it takes to join our client’s Procurement department as a Senior Technical Procurement Specialist? If you have a technical background in procurement, with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively, ceek would like to hear from you!

What is expected of you?

Assist the General Manager to develop a wide portfolio of products, whilst identifying new business opportunities and market trends to help maintain the company’s competitive edge
Develop a strategy for procurement of products, calculate and record the cost of transactions
Manage storage conditions and participate in stocktakes whilst adopting the right approach for best practices such as FIFO
Participate in quarterly stocktakes and issue monthly reports to management highlighting stock movement
Manage and negotiate with suppliers and be on the lookout for prospective ones, to allow the company to enhance its product line
Ensure that all suppliers are respecting the agreement in terms of prices, quality and delivery conditions

What are you expected to bring?

At least 5 years of senior experience in technical procurement
A technical academic background as well as a flair for numbers and negotiating would be considered an asset
Be highly organized, a good communicator and able to work under pressure on own initiative
