Senior PHP Developer (m/f)

Your Mission

While facing the challenge to both organize enterprise and SME clients with a focus on nurseries and schools in a more international setting, we have had to also deal with quick growth and various complexities such as new languages, systems, countries, and requirements. On top of this, we are dealing with millions of new photos each month.

We now have two main challenges: Firstly, we are migrating from a monolithic system to a more distributed system based on micro services, which is why we need you! Secondly, we want to stay the most advanced and modern online platform and therefore need to develop new features based on the different international requirements. We want to expand our development team and are therefore looking for an exceptional developer who is willing to face those challenges together with us.

Your role

Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features
Design overall architecture of the web application
Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
Maintain code integrity and organization

You are ambitious: you don't fear challenges, are enthusiastic and constantly try out new ideas

At least 5 years of practical experience as a PHP developer and a degree in Computer Science

Strong Object-Oriented programming skills,familiarity with design patterns and software architecture best practices

Excellent knowledge in PHP7 and relational database like MySQL

Good knowledge of frontend technologies - HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript

You have skills in relevant frameworks, such as CakePHP, Symfony or Laravel

Knowledge in the field of scalable architectures and/or Amazon web services

Excellent knowledge of the German language as well as English
