Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer

For our contracting department we are looking for Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer

Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer will join our client's embedded software development team, counting over 80 headcounts and still growing. The team is divided into Scrum teams (currently 10). Being a part of large embedded software development centre of Global company the department is resposible for development of communication modules for industrial automation installations: ethernet bridges, ethernet adapters, communication part in industrial drivers. The company is going strongly towards security direction and they are introducing technologies like TLS, DTLS to their products. Katowice centre holds the status of both design and implementation centre, which means that all decisions connected to components architecture are made locally. The team is working on new generation of devices, most of the time new code is developed, and there are not so many maintenance tasks. Whole centre works in SAFe (Scalable Agile Framework). The teams work according to Scrum methodology (daily stand-ups, sprints every 3 weeks, PI's every 3 months, retrospectives). Tests are predominately automated, they have their own test lab, test automation system is written in Python. 80% of maintained code has been developed locally in last 6 years. There is some legacy code connected with the platform, developed in US, predominately not older than 10 years. Technical debt is minimal.

Senior Embeded Software Test Engineer tests embedded code in C++ on devices, develops test automation platform in Python and is providing people and project leadership from technical perspective. One is reporting to Team Lead who reports to Software Development Manager. The role requires communications with engineers based in other software & hardware development centers (USA, Asia).

- a minimum of 5 years of experience in automated software tests (must have),
- a knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching (very nice to have),
- knowledge of chiffring, TLS, DTLS (nice to have),
- experience with embedded software testing (nice to have)
- knowledge of Python (nice to have)
- very good command of English

- daily rate arr 700-750 PLN/day + VAT (B2B contract)
