Java Developer - Leading IT Consultancy and Software Solutions – North London / Borehamwood, Hertfordshire - £30K - £40K depending on skills and experience – Permanent

Our client, a leading international IT Consultancy and software solutions business with offices in London, Hertfordshire, West Sussex, The Netherlands and Switzerland has an excellent opportunity for a Java Developer to join them on a permanent basis within an established and experienced Managed Services team based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. The work of the Java Developer will include a mixture of Application Development, Maintenance and Support for a portfolio of touch-screen Self Service and Web applications. Our client prides itself on employing high calibre consultants and software engineers and this is a great opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced Java Consultants around.

Key skills and attributes of the Java Developer include:
• An IT related degree or similar qualification
• Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Java development
• Preferred technical skills: core Java, Java Swing, JavaFX, Spring MVC, Hibernate, MySQL, XML, Web Services, Web technologies, JBOSS, Eclipse, Subversion
• Exposure to Retail point-of-sale and Cash management systems desirable
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as this will be a customer facing role
• A desire to contribute to the company's growth and expansion plans.
