Job Description

Any Decision making related to Data Center activities
• Establishing the process and Policies related to Data Center Activities
• Comply the process and policies defined by MITS
• Break Fix of Physical Hardware ( Replace Memory, HDD, Motherboards)
• Checking LED’s for issues
• Data Center Walkthrough
• Escorting Vendor and assisting Vendor
• Installing/Decommissioning Data Center Devices based on MITS provided guidelines
• Data Center device Inventory and Maintaining device information in MITS provided CMDB system
• Maintaining the inventory of spares such as Copper/Fiber Cables ,SFP's
• Keep Track of Visitor Log book
• Keeping the Data Center and operator area Clean
• Maintaining SLA on the Tickets in Service Now
• Monitoring the alerts in MITS provided monitoring system related to Cooling, PDU's, Device failure, etc.
• Record power readings when needed
• Site can Power Reading
• Storage - Faulty disk replacement
• Storage - Faulty SFP/HBA replacement
• Storage - Onsite vendor co-ordination for HCL Managed Devices only.
• Storage - Physical movement of SAN equipment
• Tracing and Running the Copper and Fiber Cables within Data Center
• Coordinate with Facilities team on data center environment Issues
• Large number of Hands and Feet related requests
• ex: Multiple commissioning /Decommissioning
• On call support on Priority incidents
• Providing support during non-business hours
• Communicate HCL for any changes in Data center
• Maintain the Hands and Feet Run book up to
