Position Title: Hadoop Developer
Location: CA/Sunnyvale
Job Description
Responsibilities of this position include:
Senior development lead for Hadoop and Spark to design and build frameworks and components in Spark using Scala or Java for data conformance, data curation, data distribution
As a senior developer drive the framework and components
Lead day to day design and ETL build
Daily hands on development of framework and components while guiding the team
Conduct code reviews with team members and set a high technical standard
Drive agile development and a devops approach including continuous build, continuous testing
Partner with other teams on developing re-usable components
Partner closely with the business on technology requirements and strategy and create solutions and execute projects end to end from inception to deployment
Partner with direct and indirect technology line leaders in long range strategic planning and ensuring integration with enterprise wide technology strategy
Required Qualifications
10+ years of application development and implementation experience
3+ years of Hadoop experience
2+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map
A BS/BA degree or higher
3 + years of Scala development experience
3+ years of Java experience

Desired Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
1+ year of capital markets experience
Knowledge and understanding of data warehouse architectures, techniques and tools
Knowledge and understanding of technology object oriented: programming: C++, JavaScript, or Java
Data modeling experience
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience with Rules Engines such as Drools is a plus
Experience with Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
Experience implementing Hadoop compute & storage solutions on the Cloud is a plus
