Sophia High Tech is an engineering outsourcing services company for customers all over the world that need support in IT, Hardware and Testing activities with headquarter in Italy.
Sophia High Tech is supporting Bombardier, the world's leading manufacturer of both planes and trains. In order to expand their team in Germany, we are looking for:

Application Engineer (Location: Mannheim, Germany)

Responsibilities:
- Analysis of specifications, consolidation of customer-relevant requirements
- Definition of solutions and architectures
- Creation of functional, electrical, mechanical, etc. requirements for the metal detection and vehicle detection system, their software, firmware and subsystems in cooperation with other departments
- Definition and description of the resulting interfaces
- Development and evaluation of technical concept studies and analyses
- Support for component test specification creation
- Coordination with Safety department and with external service providers

- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 2 years of working experience (experience in automotive and transportation sectors is a plus)
- Experience with / understanding of: requirements management tools (DOORS), modelling notations (SysML / UML), change and configuration management
- Understanding of electrical and embedded software systems
- Fluency in English
- Ability of analytical thinking and structured approach
- Ability to independently process complex technical solutions and questions within the team
- Planning and organizational skills
- Extroverted and targeted communication skills as well as team and compromising skills
- Commitment, initiative and agility
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and grow in an exciting work environment
