Psychology Internship

Enroll in the Therapy and Counseling Internship which will allow you to become immersed in the solutions and support of the mental health field in India. Interns will be able to learn about the methods and support systems that Indians use to work with a range of neuromuscular disorders, cerebral palsy, and autism. Interns will assist with early intervention programs geared towards younger kids. Interns will provide treatments and counseling for siblings, parents, and the children along with developing forms of alternative and occupational therapy. The goal of this program is to increase independence for the children while building up mental health awareness initiatives.

Interns will:
-Develop programs for Early Intervention
-Assist with therapies to improve Verbal and Speech areas
-Address issues in behavior
-Provide Occupational Therapy
-Conduct therapy sessions centered around Art, Music, and Exercise
-Lead therapy sessions that include Horticulture

-Being a part of improving mental health resources in India

-Making lifelong friendships with your colleagues and other international interns

-Living in an energetic co-living apartment with international travelers from around the world

-Traveling on the weekends and experiencing India's beauty

-Growing your professional network through work experience
