BBA in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations

The 4-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations program builds on the curriculum of the 3-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism and Hospitality Management program. In addition to providing students with state of the art management competencies and leadership skills, students will have a practical training experience in culinary theory and practice as well as restaurant and service management. Integral academic education is perfectly combined with business related training since only minds rooted in the real world can solve the current and future problems of the industry. Not only does the program convey a sense of service-oriented delivery and hospitality, the 4-year BBA program also aims at preparing students for taking leading positions in the hotel and tourism industry worldwide, as well as to run their own businesses profitably.

The bachelor program provides students with a high degree of flexibility in designing their own curriculum . Enrichment courses covering special tourism segments (i.e. aviation, meetings & events, health and wellness, etc) or certain management areas (i.e. strategic hotel management, revenue management, sustainable tourism, etc) provide students with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge in a specific field. Furthermore, students have the choice between writing a bachelor thesis (recommended for students who consider entering a master program after graduation) or taking additional courses in advanced tourism and hospitality management or completing an additional internship of 450 hours.
