NMU offers more than 180 majors to choose from and 300 student organizations to participate in. Students at Northern Michigan University enjoy various outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, kayaking and swimming in Lake Superior. There are more than 300 student organizations to join as well as community activities to participate in. For international students, there are student organizations such as All Nations Club, Chinese Club, All About Korea, Spanish Club, Muslim Association, etc. Students also have the opportunity to join mnay club sports such as soccer, hockey, basketball, track, etc.
