Program Description
The Bachelor of Information and Control Technologies is a three-year programme taught in English language at the Faculty of Applied Informatics (FAI) of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. This Bachelor degree programme is primarily designed to provide education in the field of IT as well as control technology. Graduates of this course become knowledgeable in IT and computer technology. They are well prepared to work in industrial enterprises, in companies dealing with software equipment, or in the area of computer measurement, automation as well as control technologies. Students receive basic knowledge in various aspects of computer science and IT. The main aim of the programme is to prepare students to face the challenges in the fast developments and improvements in IT field in the global village.

Tuition fee: approx. EUR 2,230 per 1 academic year
Scholarship: Students in this programme meeting criteria may receive the TBU Bachelor’s scholarship (CZK 60,000 i.e. approx. EUR 2,230 per academic year).

• At FAI is education provided in the fields of information and control technologies, engineering informatics, security technologies, integrated systems in buildings, chemical and process engineering, etc.
• Key subjects: Engineering Drawing, Programming in C Language, Introduction to Computer Science, Database Systems, Automation, Computer Networks, Mechatronic Systems.
• The Faculty has modern laboratories with the latest, up-to-date equipment including advanced security technologies and the intelligent buildings laboratory.
• New Technology Park focusing on information and communication technologies was opened in 2012.
