  3. How to Study Free in EU? A Dream or Reality?

Getting a quality education is costly, and the fees just seem to keep rising. And besides that, you also need to pay for housing and food. While scholarships might help a little bit, you will likely need to get a job while attending a university which can be tricky. So in the end, so many gifted young people simply give up on pursuing their dreams because they are not wealthy enough to pay for both tuition and housing.

But is there a way to get free education and earn a degree? Yes, it is possible in some European Union countries. The ones that do not offer free education have very low tuition fees. Keep in mind that you will need to fill out your application so make sure you do it right. If you are still unsure, ask for help from a friend or professional writing services. Let's dive in and see is there a way to study for free in EU.

Germany as a first choice

Germany is a popular destination for students from all around the world, and that is for a reason. The undergraduate courses on public universities are entirely free, and all you need to do is pay the administration fees which are not high at all. Another great thing about studying in Germany is the fact that students from all countries can get outstanding education free of charge. Not to forget that Germany continually invests in the quality of the higher education. Their universities are top rated, and they will open their doors to anyone who is adventurous enough to apply.

With that said, you will still need to pay the living costs, including the student visa if you are from a non-EU country. However, major German cities are not expensive, and you will be able to find affordable accommodation. As you might have guessed, Berlin and Munich are the usual choices, since their universities offer a variety of different courses, and the cost of living is not too high. Plus, you will find many courses which are taught in the English language there. And on top of that, you will get to experience a different culture, and learn a lot about this country.

How about France?

The universities in France do not have a free education, but the fee is so small that it is considered to be very affordable. They are just the administrative fees that are slightly higher than the German ones. Surely, there are a couple of public universities in this country that are more expensive than the others, but you can study there without the high tuition fees. You can apply for a public university in France regardless of your nationality which is great for international students. While the majority of the available courses are in French, you can still find a large number of classes created for students who speak English only.

The cost of living in France is very affordable if you avoid Paris. Renting a place there can cost a lot of money which is unfortunate because the capital of France has a lot of great universities. Luckily, there are plenty of options for you on other universities all around France, and living there will be cheap. For instance, the University of Lyon is getting more and more recognition for their undergraduate studies, so it is worth checking out.

Classic Austria

Austria is captivating to international students because of the history and culture. Also, their higher education is top quality. The country invests in public universities, and they are available to anyone. The citizens of the EU do have a free education in Austria, and they don't need to pay tuition. But if you are coming from a country that is not in EU, you can expect a small fee. Living in Austria is fantastic because you will be surrounded by historical sights at all times. It is an excellent country for international students, and the cost of living is not too high. Vienna has a lot of universities, so the majority of students go there. But you should check out Graz as well because it is a lovely university town with a lot of character.

The up and coming Poland

Poland is a beautiful country situated in East Europe. It sits at a crossroad of different cultures so studying there will be very exciting. The higher education is free if you decide to sign up for the courses which are taught in the Polish language. However, you need to pay a fee if you want to attend English speaking classes. On the other hand, the cost of living is incredibly low in Poland, and you will not spend too much money on food or rent. There are a couple of well-known public universities in Poland, and the country is starting to invest more in education. They are slowly expanding, and there are many exciting undergraduate courses which could be attractive to international students.
