Sun and fun go together right, and in Tucson, Sun refers to the city's flexible Sun transit system. Tucson's Sun Tran public transit system connects the Sun Express, Sun Shuttle and Sun Link streetcars, conveniently covered with the SunGO smart card fare system. A full-fare adult ticket is $1.50, a monthly express pass $56, or purchase a SunGO for $2 and preload it for the month. The UPass will get University of Arizona staff and students around the city at discounted rates.

Cycling around the city is easy enough, though hot work in summer, as this bike-friendly community ensures plenty of cycling routes and paths as a healthy way to venture around the city. Hire a track friendly bike and you can also get out on the many tracks and take in the scenic Oro Valley: $700 per month plus $6 for your helmet, and you're on your bike!

If hiring a car consider gasoline prices are $3.19 a gallon, and if needing to park in the city, parking starts at a sliding scale of $2 for the first hour, and a monthly pass starts at $55

You can choose a day of strenuous hiking or just take it easy on the back of a horse. Explore Tucson's cultural heritage at the Mission San Xavier del Bac. Located on an Indian reservation, you can explore the mission's architecture and beautiful desert courtyard, and all for free. With a museum and gift shop you can learn about the city's authentic past and purchase an original souvenir.
