Volunteers Assistance in Tafi Monkey Sanctuary/kyabobo park

Program Description



CVN offers magnificent opportunities for volunteers to help in wild life and environmental conservation projects animal care. Conservation project volunteers work in a diversity of project various game and wildlife centers such as Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Mole Nation at park and kyabobo national park at Nkwanta in the north of Volta Region.

Work within the wilderness and assist in tracking, observing and monitoring animals species, updating the reserves data base and assisting in the preservation and protection of Ghana’s wildlife.
Our wildlife conservation project has been established with aim to closely study wild animals in a wildlife park environment. Volunteers will assist and produce meaningful and useful data which can be incorporated into after academic research projects.

The volunteer coordinator plans the days to ensure that data is recorded on each of the animal species and the various habitats.
The project focuses on the followings:

Monkey activity (species territory utilization feeding and social behaviour)
Elephants behaviour (herd make-up, movement to parents/offering behaviour individual characteristics, feeding traits)

In addition to the volunteers’ collect data on general game, birds, vegetation mapping and free population and growth.

We can also include a specific focus to our projected by these research projects may be mapping specific tree species or more specific information on feeding habits of one animal species.
