Whether you're graduating soon, looking for a career break/change, ICYE provides comprehensive training and support to ensure you get the most from your time away.
All projects are run by local people and rely heavily on the support of local and international volunteers to develop their work. Therefore we require dedicated and responsible volunteers .We are currently recruiting volunteers with a desire to help vulnerable young people such as by supporting street children, rehabilitating those with drug and alcohol problems, working with victims of abuse, education, running awareness campaigns and workshops.
ICYE UK is currently recruiting volunteers passionate about youth development, to support our long-term programme (6-12 months) in Uganda.
Program highlights
Language lessons offered on the long-term programme and an opportunity to travel on both programmes means our volunteers can get to know a country with an entirely different social, economical and political situation.
Well, volunteers work with local NGOs, which are run by local people and truly understand the challenges and reality of development projects in their country. Our volunteers live with host families, which is a wonderful opportunity as it enables volunteers to integrate into the local community and also develop their language skills! We believe in offering a true cultural immersion as part of our short-term and long-term programmes.
