Volunteer Teaching Program In Nepal

Volunteer with our program and help to teach English to students who are interested in learning and improving their English skills. You will be able to provide a different type of teaching technique while engaging in a cultural exchange. Work in a private or public (government) school depending on your preferences. While your central task is to instruct English, you may be called on assisting with activities such as extracurricular projects and sports.

Volunteers teach 6 days a week. Your students will be aged 6 to 13 and you will be instructing for 4 to 6 hours each day. You will be assisted by the permanent English instructor at the school. They will be able to offer you advice on curriculum overcoming communication barriers, and developing your teaching methodology. Volunteer English instructors need not be English native speakers but must have a good command of the language. Alliance Nepal will find you alternative volunteer placements such as assisting in an orphanage if you volunteer during exam periods or school holidays.

• Teaching English in local schools for 4 to 6 hours each day
• Organize games and activities such as extracurricular work, creative education, dancing, singing, and drawing
• Take children on educational tours
• Assist children with homework and monitor their academic endeavors
• Administrative assistance
• Assist with other programs and activities for the children
