Volunteer in Indonesia - United Planet - 6 or 12 Months

Program Description

Participate in a long-term program in Indonesia and experience the world's largest archipelago state. Located in Southeast Asia, Indonesia serves an important role as a trade region. However, once declaring independence after World War II, Indonesia has experienced challenges due to natural disasters, periods of economic change, separatism, and corruption. Indonesia's climate is defined by two monsoon seasons (dry and rainy) making it generally warm except in the mountains. Volunteers who experience Indonesia are intrigued by the amazing rock formations, hot springs, and exotic animals.

United Planet serves as the US and Canada member of ICYE or the International Cultural Youth Exchange Federation. Volunteers in Indonesia are hosted by Dejavato, the Indonesia member of ICYE. With the goal of promoting social welfare and education, Dejavato's work focuses on providing for individuals throughout the surrounding communities.
