Volunteer Abroad in Ecuador - United Planet - 1 - 12 Weeks

Ecuador has a rich history and a beautiful environment. Its mountains, jungles, beaches, and of course the famous Galápagos Islands make it a sought-after destination for travelers. However, despite tremendous economic progress over the last few years, Ecuadorians are still working hard to reduce poverty and improve the livelihoods of many people across the country.

As a United Planet volunteer, there are many different volunteer projects for you to choose from. You could volunteer with children at a day care or center for youth with special needs, serve at healthcare centers in areas such as nursing, rehabilitation, or dentistry (among others!), or volunteer on environmental or wildlife conservation projects.

Daycare Quest: Assist teachers at a day care that serves children from low-income families
English Teaching Quest: Teach English to students in a local school
Dental Quest: Assist dentists at a health center
Education and Rehabilitation Quest: Work with mentally disabled youth
Healthcare Quest: Work in a variety of different departments in a health center
Physical/Speech Therapy Quest: Provide physical or speech therapy services to patients
Galapagos Quest: Work on environmental conservation and agricultural projects
Forest Conservation Quest: Work on forest conservation projects
Wildlife Conservation Quest: Work with mistreated animals at an animal rescue center
