Teach Filmmaking in Bangladesh | Fully Funded | No Fees

Program Description

Girls and women face a high level of disparity in daily life and access to education throughout much of the developing world. This unequal treatment continues to increase at higher levels of education and many poverty-stricken and rural regions are the most disadvantaged when it comes to the rights of women. Filmmakers Without Borders is partnering with the Asian University for Women in order to teach media literacy and digital storytelling to women in these circumstances.

As a part of this program, FWB program participants will be placed in Chittagong. The arts educators and experienced filmmakers that participate will instruct uses of technology, media literacy, and filmmaking to women across Southeast and South Asia in tandem with the Asian University for Women. Filmmakers will be provided with evacuation insurance, a food stipend, housing, airfare, curriculum, and equipment for one entire year.
