Providing Orphanage Volunteering in Ukraine
Program Description
Spend time with children who are orphans and become a volunteer with our program. You will have the opportunity to explore this amazing country as you give back to the local community. You can be a part of a diversity of activities including planning fun classes like sports, drama, music, and dance as well as playing games with these children and teaching them English so that they can gain important skills and confidence. You will also be asked to assist with the daily running of the orphanage and any other important tasks. We are also looking for volunteers to develop outreach programs for the children that will teach them about environmental issues and the importance of conservation. We are looking for creativity and an engaging program since these children are the future that will protect the National Park’s, woodlands, and fertile plains of Ukraine.
You will provide them with the possibility for a brighter life. We work with many different orphanages for your placement. You can either work in one orphanage or rotate between a few. We also provide the opportunity for volunteers to stay in a local homestay. We have a friendly community of folk who are excited to participate in a cultural exchange with you.

Program highlights
- The project is located in the center of Ukraine, near international airport Kiev / KBP.
- Participants will be personally met at the airport and get to the host families.
- Participants will be staying with friendly host families. The houses and the apartments are cozy, comfortable and of a good standard.
- Participants will have their own room and shared bathroom amenities.
- At least one person in the family will speak a bit of English.
- Host family will provide with breakfast and dinner. They charge 250 USD a week for everything.
- Participants can get the orphanages from their locations by public buses (10 - 15 minutes drive).
- Orientation will be provided on the next day after arrival.
