Peru Medical/Nurse Programs
Program Description
Millions of Peruvians continue to live below the poverty line in spite of all the tourism that has helped to provide economic relief. Close to one fourth of the entire population lives in extreme poverty while more than half struggle to survive. Many of the children take on the brunt of this burden since they much work and live on the streets. Volunteers will help to provide healthcare and education to these children.
You will be able to have a meaningful experience even as you are immersed in the local tastes, sounds, sights, and culture of Peru. You will be a part of Spanish society as you make friends and learn the local language. See a Broader View of the World as you volunteer with us.
