HIV/Aids Home of Safety Project

Program Description

Founded early in the last century as a care center for unwed mothers and their children, this partner organization is today a shelter for abused, abandoned, HIV+ positive, orphaned and terminally ill children with the majority of whome are 3 years and under. With a commitment to education and reducing the spread of the virus, the organization offers palliative, respite and residential care as well as the implementation of Antiretroviral therapy (ARV) for HIV+ children, and so much more.
Outcomes

- Assist hospice staff with meal time
- Stimulate the children with games and entertainment
- Accompany children to the clinic or on outings
- Help teaching staff in the nursery school with planned daily activities
