Health Care Volunteer Assistants

Volunteer with this program based in a rural community that provides basic healthcare and medical care to local communities. These are small communities in Ghana that lack access to care. While the major Ghanaian cities have accessible and decent healthcare institutions, these are very scarce outside of the cities. There are few medical professionals who provide healthcare services in these communities.

This medical program will place volunteers in small rural clinics. Volunteers will assist local staff. There are also possibilities to work in orphanages in order to provide care to patients who are in need. There are leprosy and mental health related problems in this work environment and are part of the program. The facilities of this program are limited.

Volunteers will help nurses, healthcare professions and non-professionals, as well as doctors while integrating into the local community.
