Full Time Residential Volunteer Placements

Cambridge Cyrenians is in the process of recruiting up to six full-time volunteers to work and live with our residents at a long stay house and two short stay facilities. Volunteers will be supported by experienced staff members outside and during office hours. Volunteers are in charge of the day-to-day running of the houses and must be immediately on hand for residents. Residents will first go to volunteers for advice and help to cope with intensely personal issues. Volunteers will also need to handle practicalities such as preparing rooms, requests for information, dealing with callers, making sure there is food stocked in the house, and organising cleaning. This is a position for responsible volunteers who want to make a difference.

Volunteers have the chance to live in central Cambridge UK and to work with other volunteers who come from all over the world. The work is varied, interesting and can be challenging. The position can provide valuable work experience.
