Conservation Volunteers, Australia & New Zealand

Program Description

As a conservation volunteer in a wide range of locations in Australia and New Zealand, you will be able to work on a variety of environmental projects.

Volunteers will be placed in groups of up to 10 in locations that range from urban to regional to remote. There will be Team Leaders available to provide you with any necessary training. Activities include:

• Tree planting
• Trail construction
• Wildlife surveys
• Seed collection
• Weed control
• Conservation fencing
• Heritage restoration

Volunteers have the option of 16 locations in Australia and 3 in New Zealand. Volunteers even travel to different project locations each week.

You can volunteer in Australia or New Zealand from 2 weeks to 12 weeks, and there are positions available throughout 2014. Individuals, groups and students are all welcome.

This is a great volunteer chance for all who are interested in the outdoors and conservation initiatives. Volunteers have a whole variety of backgrounds and are from across the globe. We do not require any with previous experience since we have volunteer projects to match all interests and availabilities.

Program highlights

- Learn about conservation obstacles in Australia and New Zealand
- Hone hands-on conservation abilities since training is provided in each project
- Make a difference as a volunteer while earning references and certificates
- Live as a team with up to 10 volunteers from across the globe
