USAC Japan: Nagasaki

Program Description

Study abroad in Nagasaki and live in a city that has over 100 mountains in the city limits. This was the only open port to foreign trade for 250 years and began interacting with Western influences in the latter part of the 16th century. There are many beautiful nature landscapes for students to explore including hot springs and beaches. Nagasaki has a mild climate with little chance for snow.

Since the atomic bomb drop in 1945, Nagasaki has built back up again in the intervening years. It is a port city and a great location for students to explore Japanese culture.
