USAC Ireland: Galway

Program Description

Study abroad in Galway and live on the western seaboard of Ireland. This is the center of story and song and was established on the eastern bank of the River Corrib by Anglo Norman de Burgos in the thirteenth century. It is currently the third largest city in Ireland and is a combination of a small, tight-knit community with a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. It is a vibrant metropolis of commerce and arts and boasts medieval streets with a variety of cultural events and music offerings. Walk around in comfort in the center of the city since it is closed to traffic.

The annual Oyster Festival, Galway Races, and Galway Arts Festival all occur in Galway. As a student in this city, you will be able to experience local Irish life while experiencing a rich cultural heritage.
