The Athens Centre

One of the most important parts of a university education is studying abroad. This is an opportunity to explore other cultures and change your lifestyle as you experience life in a different country.

Universities and colleges in Canada and the United States have worked with the Centre to develop programs that teach modern Greece, Byzantine, and Classical history. The courses provided through the Centre include Greek lessons and civilization courses as well as guest speakers. The host academic institutions provide academic credits.

There are also shorter term programs that occur during the year that cover courses on the Mediterranean area, Greece, and the Classical Greek Theatre.

There is a summer workshop for poetry and art that will allow students to visit around Athens and explore artwork. The Centre is used as a base for Greek and Classics studies. The programs also include housing, events, field trips, and classes. We offer an experienced staff who will travel with program participants and guide our students in their lives in Athens.
