Summer Program for Nurses

Program Description

The Summer Program for Nurses consists of 2 course options and an internship placement. Students can choose to apply for any or all components of the program.

Dates: June 8 - July 2,2015

The offerings for 2015 are:
Internship: Glimpses of the Israeli Field System in Practice (Run by Dalit Wilhelm) This option has some coursework to complement the field work.
Course: World Health Issues and Trans-cultural Role of the Health Professional (taught by Cheryl Zlotnick)
Course: The Patient-Professional Relationship: Beyond Compassion, Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma (taught by Hadass Goldblatt)

This program will be run through the Cheryl Spencer Department of Nursing of the University of Haifa. Students can choose to participate in 1, 2 or 3 courses.

Students may live alongside local and other international students in the campus dormitories and participate in all campus-wide extra curricular activities.

The program is geared for registered nurses with Bachelor's degrees, and nurses who are enrolled already in Master's Degree Programs.
