Study and Intern Abroad in Rural China
Program Description
Guizhou Forerunner College (GFC) was funded by the VIA Faith-Hope-Love Foundation as a non-profit and private college in China. Our aims are to deliver quality and practical education to underprivileged students in the Guizhou Province of China.
The international volunteer and the study abroad programs were developed in order to provide and foster an international environment to the rural students as they are educated. This will also allow charitable applicants to immerse themselves in the Chinese culture rather than merely visiting as a tourist.
Short visits do not give travelers enough time to really appreciate and understanding different countries and cultures. Our semester and summer study abroad programs provide an immersive experience for students who enjoy fascinating courses instructed in English while being able to interact with local Chinese staff and students.
International students provide tuition that in turn is utilized as scholarships for academically impressive Chinese students who are also financially underprivileged. This will allow rural students the opportunity to reach their goals of achieving higher education.
