Hospitality

Program Description

Florida State has been at the forefront of offering students an exploration of the European hospitality industry including discovering the world of wines, foods, restaurants, and hotels. Students will benefit from a comprehensive education including industry operation observations, travel, and accelerated classroom instruction. Students will be able to benefit from recreational, cultural, and professional attractions in Switzerland and neighboring countries. Field trips, class meetings, and guest lectures will enliven schedules. Small group and individual travel is encouraged with plenty of time in addition to program learning and curriculum objectives. Amsterdam, Prague, Munich, Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Venice, Florence, Barcelona, Paris, the Italian and French Riviera, and the Alsatian and Burgundy wine regions are fascinating areas for students to travel independently.

This program is based east of Lake Geneva in an Alpine resort called Leysin in Switzerland. Students are encouraged to take excursions throughout Europe on independent weekly trips.
