Global Sports Management

Program Description

Students who are interested in the global aspects of the sports industry should considering studying abroad with the Global Sport Management program. Participants will be able to learn from impressive global sports industry scholars, visit famous sporting venues in the United Kingdom, attend meetings with leading European sports agencies executives, and experience major sporting events such as the British Open/Open Championship. Students will be housed within accommodations in central London or stay in furnished shared apartments at the Florida State London Study Centre. This is open to those interested in the sport industry or who come from comparable academic disciplines.

Program highlights

Planned social and cultural events include:

•Meet with executives from the firm that designed Citi Field, AT&T Park, Yankee Stadium, the London Olympic Stadium, Wembley Stadium, and many more
•Meet with executives from Octagon, one of the world’s leading entertainment sponsorship and sports agencies
•Attending the famous Open Championship
•Touring Sky Sports headquarters, the United Kingdom’s leading television sports brand
•Excursion to Emirates Stadium
•Excursion to the famous Lord's Cricket Ground
•Visits to the 2012 Olympic venues
•Exploration of New Wembley Stadium
•Visit to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, home to Wimbledon
