Program Description

This holiday English course is for people who want to use and improve their English in a creative, inspiring and authentic way. In 2018 it runs from August 26 – September 8 and you can join it for just one or for both weeks. The day begins with optional early morning T’ai Chi in our lovely terraced garden overlooking the lake. This is followed by breakfast and small group peer discussions. We then move into the airy studio looking up to the mountains for the morning sessions. There is always a lot of laughter as together we move through uncertainty into a playful and cohesive group. During these mornings we begin to know ourselves and each other a little more, we begin to make steps towards accepting who we are and what we bring. The activities are fun, gentle and insightful. We always encourage a lot of discussion, guided relaxation and time for integration.

The whole day becomes a fusion of body, mind and spirit. There’ll be delight as we begin to still the mind a little, and joy as we experience personal breakthroughs. The yoga we introduce will support each person’s process; we will also bring in breathing exercises in the garden, different kinds of meditation and yoga nidra by candlelight at the end of the day. And the whole experience is in English, the learning happening almost unconsciously as we stretch out into each day.
