Program Description

In order to pursue a career in the world’s globalized economy, studying abroad and being immersed in another culture is one of the best methods for being introduced to a variety of histories, cultures, and perspectives. Study abroad with this program and embrace the opportunity to learn about public speaking and communication in one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in Europe. This program will center around communication issues within Great Britain and so the presentations and lectures of the course will be enhanced through cultural excursions to various sites throughout London. Students will be able to experience and explore persuasive communication through the diverse theatre events in London.

Program highlights

Social and cultural events planned for this course include:

• The National Theatre, the BBC, and the Victoria & Albert Museum day trips
•Presentations at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the British Museum, and the National Gallery
•Classes held at the Tate Modern, Highgate Cemetery, the Imperial War Museum, the British Public Library, and the Royal Observatory
•Excursion to Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park where, since mid-19th century, individuals have gone to express their opinions
•Full participation with the London Broad Curriculum’s cultural and social events
