Volunteer in a after school program

This project is active in the deprived area Las Rosas where they support children who work and live in extreme poverty and/or in risk to get on the streets. The project also supports the women and families in the same area, providing them (financial) self-sustainability.
Every afternoon, about 40-45 kids come to the project, all aged between 6 and 14 years old.

The volunteers will help with:
- Assisting the children in the activities planned by the team
- Helping the children execute their work
- Supervising the children
- Teach them to behave & play with them
Volunteers are more than welcome to plan and execute their own recreational activity in the area of sports, games or handcrafts.

In this project, you will work from Monday till Thursday, from 2 pm to 4:30 pm, so it's perfect to combine your volunteering with Spanish lessons in the mornings, which is a nice way to improve your Spanish but also learn about the Guatemalan culture
