Street Photography by Magnum Photos & Spéos - Paris & London

This workshop will take place in Paris and in London. It combines studio technique, shoots workshop, lectures, critique and editing.

Participants are first introduced to the techniques of studio photography in a very practical way: use of studio equipment, electronic flashes, basic studio lighting techniques, large format cameras, as well as the Stop System method. The aim is to teach participants how to handle sometimes difficult lighting conditions once outside in the streets.

Matt Stuart, Magnum photographer who has photographed London for the last 20 years, will then take participants out on the street of Paris and London and pass on his tips and tricks on capturing the extraordinary in the everyday. The group will then meet at the Spéos Paris office and London office to share feedback and discuss ways to improve technique and imagery.
