Medical school students, nurses, and doctors are placed in local Nepali health posts, clinics, and hospitals through our Physiotherapy Programs, Medical Electives, Internships, Clinical Electives, and Medical Tours. Local facilities are currently searching for or in need of EMTs, Dentists, Nurses, Ophthalmologists, Oncologists, Surgeons, Urologists, and Internists. Serve the local towns and villages in crucial roles.
The activities and responsibilities of medical school students include participating in vaccination programs, assisting with physical therapy, pursuing treatments for ailments, and assisting doctors on their rounds.
Volunteers and interns will have the opportunity to explore alternative-medicine clinics, HIV/AIDS wards, children’s hospitals, maternity clinics, and large general hospitals depending on when the visit occurs. Local nurses and doctors will provide program participants with an overview of the state of healthcare in the country and issues with common illnesses and treatments.
Our project staff will coordinate with volunteers and interns to create a daily work schedule and intern rotation at Kathmandu Medical College and Kanti Children’s Hospital. Students working at Kanti will end at 1pm every day and have the chance to work at the other health center later in the afternoon. CGN promotes recreational activities, exploring Nepal’s attractions, and traveling when not assisting in clinics and hospitals. Work schedule typically run from Sunday to Friday.
