Going on Assignment in Prague

Join us for the summer edition of TOL's Going on Assignment in Prague. Its format has been revised to reflect current industry trends and now includes multimedia reporting, working with social media content and photojournalism. The program will be held July 7–22, 2018 at the Reuters offices in the centre of Prague.

The course is designed for university students, freelance journalists, NGO story-tellers and anyone who is not afraid to step out of their comfort zone, venture into the unknown, and network with like-minded people from all over the world while writing a story that matters! Our faculty of experienced foreign correspondents from Reuters, the New York Times, Radio Free Europe and other media outlets will supervise participants throughout the process and provide invaluable feedback.

If you believe in high-quality, unbiased reporting—and stopping at no cost or border to get the inside story—this foreign correspondent course will prepare you for whatever stories you’ll encounter in your future career. You will have the chance to gain first-hand tips from renowned practicing foreign correspondents, all while pursuing your own story on the actual streets of Prague. Don’t be scared, you will get extensive coaching before you arrive and while you are developing your story. At the end of your 15 days with us, you will head home with hands-on journalistic training, valuable international experience, and a refined piece of foreign reporting.
