Spanish Program + Surfing Course in Bocas del Toro, Panama

If you've always wanted to learn how to surf, then Bocas del Toro is an excellent place to start! With swell consistency over 65% for 6 months out of the year and average swell height of 6-7 feet, Bocas is great for beginner to intermediate surfers. You will be able to learn the basics from a certified instructor, as well as have tons of fun doing it!

The surf course is 5 half-days so that you can combine them with Spanish lessons. The cost is $195 plus 7% sales tax with Escuela del Mar (Surf School), or $225 + 7% sales tax with Mono Loco Surf School. There is also the option of having 3 half-day lessons at a price of $125 + 7% sales tax (Escuela del Mar) or $135 + 7% sales tax (Mono Loco).

The Spanish courses are in our Group 4 course, which is 20 hours per week (scheduled normally from 8am - 12pm). However, you have the option of taking Private lessons (up to 4 hours per day) if you prefer one-on-one classes.

The Group 4 classes have no more than 6 students all at your exact same Spanish level. All of our teachers are Panamanian, have college-degrees, and are full time employees at our school. We teach using the Communicative Method, which is based on conversation and activity-based tasks rather than memorization and workbook activities. You will be given an Habla Ya-created book to use during class, which is included in the course fee.

Our school is accredited by the Cervantes Institute in Spain. We are a DELE exam preparation and examination center.
