Senior Accountant (based in Malta)

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join a multinational legal firm. If you are an organised individual looking for an exciting new challenge, we would like to hear from you.

What is expected of you?

Prepare accounts up to trial balance
Prepare VAT returns and statements
Prepare tax declarations for shipping companies and tax returns for clients
Liaise with auditors
Liaise with client and address their queries in a timely manner
Prepare scheme of distributions for audit purposes
Assist colleagues with queries
Compile lists and reports as required by the accounts department from time to time
Prepare management accounts
Assist with payroll

What are you expected to bring?

A minimum of 2 years’ experience
An ACCA qualification or in the final stages of ACCA
An excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, Maltese would be considered an asset
The ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal direction
Strong leadership skills
A precise and structured approach to work
Competence in Excel and accounting packages
