Production Supervisor

A manufacturer of expansion tanks and water storage tanks in Charlotte NC is in need of Production Supervisor who will work collaboratively with production team members to be responsible for the efficient operation of Manufacturing Department, the direction of the plant work force and the meeting of daily production schedules. Supervises and coordinates activities of Leaders and workers. Verifies correct manufacturing processes are adhered to. Works with other operators, engineers and quality personnel to identify and resolve potential customer issues.

Responsibilities
Advocate for operators with regular conversation, finding solutions collaboratively, and consistent team check ins.
Responsible for enforcing safe work practices and environment through engagement of operators.
Responsible for product quality, including first pass yield, in accordance with established Company guidelines and / or specifications.
Supervise and direct Leaders to efficiently meet production schedules through the use of available manpower, including flexing to respond to customer demands.
Responsible for coordination and implementation of the cross-training program, the manufacturing training program and departmental rotation plans.
Qualifications
Supervisor experience within manufacturing, leadership skills, understand basic principles of human resources and manufacturing process, ability to make decisions and the willingness to follow policies and procedures.
Supervisor experience in the water heater or manufacturing industry is preferred.
Valid forklift driver’s license
Excellent communication skills via written and oral
Education
High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience
4-5 Years of Supervisory/Leadership Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training

Physical Requirements:

Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
Variable hot and cold working environment.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
